Athletic ParticipationStudents who are interested in the Athletic Training Education Program at Luther College may also be interested in other activities, such as athletics. Because of the significant clinical component associated with the ATEP, students must be available during the afternoon, evenings, and weekends. Time conflicts do frequently exist between clinical requirements and athletics. The athletic training faculty/staff are committed to providing equal education experiences to all students. As a component of the overall experience at Luther College students are encouraged to participate in a variety of activities. The faculty/staff is also committed to students graduating on time, fulfilling the requirements for the Athletic Training major and General Education requirements, and providing adequate clinical experiences for each student to demonstrate/develop their clinical skills. The following guidelines have been developed for those students who are admitted to the ATEP and choose to participate in intercollegiate athletics at Luther College.
